• Holds Wood Firm during Feed; far better than plastic feathers. Because the High Density Foam Feathers are thicker than plastic feathers and because the patented Hinge opens during the feed, FeatherPRO increases the amount of surface area on the wood. This disperses the tension over a wider area and combined with the High Density Foam material, results in a smooth glide and greater control. This is really evident when applying higher tension versus plastic feather featherboards.
• Exceptionally Easy Smooth Glide under HIGH or LOW Tension, for the same reasons noted above. The resistance on the infeed is much less than with hardened plastic feathers. Revolutionary!
• Non Marring - Unlike Plastic feathers, High Density Foam Feathers will not mar even the softest of wood under high tension. Marring can adversely affect finishing and gluing wood surfaces. Revolutionary!

• Safety breakthrough: 5 times greater resistance to kickback force versus plastic featherboards. FeatherPRO's hinged feather design acts as a spring catch during kickback. On the infeed, the feathers are flat and the Hinge is open. During kickback, as the board moves backwards, the feathers move back and the Hinge closes extending the feathers toward the fence to pinch the wood against the fence. The foam feathers absorb the energy of the backward force slowing down or even arresting material being kicked back. Something plastic feathers don't do.
• Tool and safety breakthrough: High Density Foam feathers will not damage carbide tip blades and router bits if contacted. Thus eliminates possibility of shards of carbide material becoming projectiles.Not the case with plastic featherboards. Foam feather are will not shatter if they make contact with a cutter. Simply replace the Feathers and the FeatherPRO is ready for use. With plastic feathers, not only is the featherboard lost, the plastic feathers can become projectiles.
