Sponsored by the Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers® (AWFS®), the Fresh Wood competition highlights the skills of woodworking students from high school and post-secondary programs across the United States and Canada. A panel of esteemed judges from the woodworking industry selects the finalists, whose work is ultimately showcased at the biennial AWFS® Fair in Las Vegas, NV. During the event, winners are awarded top honors, including the People’s Choice and Best of Show prizes.

The Fresh Wood Design Book features over 100 projects from the Fresh Wood finals, showcasing innovative and stunning work from 2017 to 2021. Each piece is professionally photographed and accompanied by insightful commentary about the design and construction process. This collection aims to inspire fellow students and woodworkers while providing valuable insights for educators and industry professionals.
