The cutterhead is fitted with four high-speed steel knives that rotate at 5,000 RPM, producing an astounding 20,000 cuts per minute. Anti-kickback fingers and a pressure bar are strategically placed near the cutterhead to ensure an exceptional finish.

Built for production, the solid cast iron base, table, and head provide stability and durability. The 2-speed oil bath gearbox transmits full power to the feed rollers and allows for quick speed changes between 24 and 31 feet per minute (FPM). The included gear also enables a 4-speed setting, offering lower speeds of 16 and 20 FPM.

To ensure a smooth feed, the planer features corrugated infeed and fine groove outfeed rollers. The precision-ground and polished cast iron table is supported by four steel columns, providing ample support for larger workpieces. Additionally, heavy cast-iron extension wings ensure a flat, smooth cut.
