Description
These are SILICON CARBIDE sheets. They have an A-weight paper backing and may be used wet or dry. These sheets are available in grits 80 - 2000. Applications include sanding of furniture finishes such as varnish, lacquer, shellac or oil. This material is also used in automotive body shops for final color sanding of paint. Other uses include polishing of plastic and glass.

Klingspor 1200 grit wet/dry sandpaper
I use this in my shop where I repair musical instruments. I use it to sand ebony, rosewood, maple, and mahogany, as well as on lacquer finishes before buffing. Also used for polishing out nickel silver frets after leveling and recrowning, and just before buffing. I could not do without this sandpaper, it’s the best I’ve found for what I do.
