These nylon discs are used on the outside of your sanding mops to create a more aggressive sanding mop. These stabilizers keep the sanding sheets packed together thus allowing only the tips to be used for sanding. *TIP: using these stabilizers with Klingspor's Sanding Mops make a fantastic polishing tool as well. Sanding mop stabilizers
Highly recommend use of stabilizers with your sanding mops. They give more control to the mop and helps when concentrating on a specific area of the project needing more than just a quick, general sanding such as shaping an area. I use 6” mops in several grits and have stabilizers on each one. An added benefit is prolonging the useful life of the mops.
