Yellowstone Honing Compound

I don’t know what this stuff is , but I have been using it on my strops and achieve pinnacle sharp tools and knives. Sometimes I grind it up and use it in a salt shaker or scrape it on

The Yellowstone is a bit of a nuisance to apply to your strop, but well worth the effort. It works surprisingly aggressively and yet leaves a finely polished surface. Best general purpose honing compound I've found, and I've tried a lot of them.

This is the compound made by Herb Dunkle and it is the best honing compound money can buy! I have used it for years, exclusively and I continue to use it because it gets results, razor sharp tools!
