    I received this plane a couple of months ago and I hadn’t had the opportunity to run it through its paces. As I pulled it out and inspected the fit and finish is as good as you can expect from any hand tool. After cleaning the protective lubricant off of it I check the blade and it was very sharp but it still needs to be honed. After honing the blade I ran a couple of exercises to assess its performance. I have to admit I was quite pleased. The 50 degree blade angle works well with the bevel angle of 30 degrees giving it durability and clearance to preform any task I tried. This plane also has a fence system that work very well. Size and weight compared to others available is comparable. It comes with a 1/2” blade and you can order extras individually for $27.50 or a set of 5 for $129.00. The imperial sizes range from 1/8” - 3/8”. The depth stop is good but I see an area there that could be improved but not a deal breaker. I would recommend this product to any one looking to invest in a router plane.
