Narex Mortise Chisel 5mm
These mortise chisels are manufactured by Narex in the Czech Republic and are known for their exceptional quality. The blades are crafted from fine-grained, well-tempered chrome-manganese steel, hardened to 59 HRc. They take and retain an excellent edge and are precision-ground at a 25-degree bevel.
The blade width tapers by 0.030 inches from the tip to the shoulder to ensure sidewall clearance. The blade thickness tapers from 3/8 inch at the tip to 1/2 inch at the shoulder. The handles are made of stained beech and feature two steel ferrules to withstand heavy mallet blows. Additionally, the blades are designed with a well-seated, heavy steel tang for added durability.
