Narex Mortise Chisel 14mm
These mortise chisels are manufactured by Narex in the Czech Republic and are known for their exceptional quality. The blades are crafted from fine-grained, well-tempered chrome-manganese steel, hardened to 59 HRc. They are precision-ground with a 25-degree bevel and maintain an excellent edge. The blade width tapers by 0.030 inches from the tip to the shoulder to allow for sidewall clearance, and the blade thickness tapers from 3/8 inch at the tip to 1/2 inch at the shoulder. The handles are made of stained beech wood and feature two steel ferrules to withstand heavy mallet use. Each blade is securely anchored with a heavy steel tang.
