Mohawk Pre-Catalyzed Clears offer the durability of a precatalyzed nitrocellulose lacquer with the ease of aerosol application. The dry film is very durable and adheres
where other finishes will not. Pre-Catalyzed Clears have been tested and approved for in factory
as well as onsite touch-up on catalyzed finishes.

Mohawk Pre Cat Lacquer Gloss
Excellent lacquer that is very easy to work with. Has good 'flow'. Dries quickly and sands very smooth. With a little effort you can get a very nice clear coat.

Pre-Catalyzed Clear Lacquer
Great product, dries almost instantly and seems to help protect the wood it is meant to cover. The only down side to this lacquer is that it is not really a gloss, but more of a semi-gloss. I cannot expect modern day lacquers to be like what was used in the 1960's. The important thing to me is durability and long lasting finish protection.

Quality of product when used
When this lacquer dries, it REALLY dries. It seems to be hard and very durable. Easy to sand and work with. I highly recommend it.

Mohawk precat lacquer is the best
I started using this a few years ago for my woodturning projects after Deft was sold and changed. Reasonably priced snd excellent product. Not going back!

Mohawk pre-catalyzed clear gloss lacquer.
This stuff is great. The paint has hardener in it and dry ready to sand in half an hour. It beats spraymmax 2K because it had an extended shelf life beyond Spraymax's 48 hr limitations. Plus its less than half the cost of Spraymax.

1/3 of cost from Amazon. Used this for years on hand crafted, solid body electric guitars. Pre-cat is the way to go. Several thin coats with final a little heavier. Wet sands perfect and with hand rubbed polishing, it's a mirror with depth. No adverse issues to complain about.

I purchased both the Mohawk Pre-Cat Sand Sealer and Gloss. This is the product to go with, having many issues on a guitar body project, I decided to give it one more try and I've had no issues whatsoever with blushing, etc with the Pre-Cat version.
