RIKON’s Z3 4-Jaw Chuck Kit 71-105 is the ideal accessory for the wood lathe, perfect for turning bowls, platters, spindles, and decorative pieces. This 4-jaw, self-centering chuck is CNC-precision made from high-tensile steel with a geared jaw system for easy operation and excellent project holding power.

• Improved design of the chuck sliders gives added strength for attaching a variety of available jaw set accessories. Meticulously machined chuck body and internal gearing system operate flawlessly for reliable closing and opening operation with the included special Chuck Key.
• This Z3 Chuck requires your choice of appropriately sized Threaded Insert adapter (sold separately) to be installed into the rear of the chuck to mount the chuck on your lathe.
• Kit includes a 50mm (2″) Jaw Set, Wood Screw RH, Chuck Key, T-handle T20 Wrench, 3mm Hex Wrench, and Instructions.
• For use on lathes with a 10″ to 14″ swing.  Z3 Chuck is 3-1/2″ (88mm) in diameter, and with your selected Threaded Insert (sold separately), it weighs only about 2.9 lbs. This lightweight and small chuck diameter is ideal for use on smaller lathes. Extra-fine finish with etched safety icons and a serial number for registration under the industry’s best 10-year warranty.
• 50mm (2″) Jaw Set accessory that is included with the Z3 Chuck is one of the most popular, standard jaw styles for holding bowl or spindle/tenon projects. Over 20 other sizes and shapes of RIKON jaw sets are available for use with the Z3 chuck to hold bowls, platters, pen-making blanks, or other turnings on your lathe.
• The chuck holds the Wood Screw to mount a small bowl or other lightweight projects for turning. Sharp threads cut into wood for the best holding power. Requires a pilot hole bored in the wood before installation.
• The 70-105 Z3 Chuck requires a Threaded Insert adapter before it can be mounted on a lathe. Sold separately, RIKON offers four different insert thread options for the Z3 chuck: 71-120 is threaded for M33x3.5 ISO RH lathe spindles; 71-121 has 1″x8 TPI UNC RH threads; 71-122 has 1-1/4″x8 TPI UNS RH threads; and 71-123 has M30x3.5 RH threads.
