Rikon Gouge Grinding Jig / 80-1005
The Fingernail Gouge Grinding Attachment #82-1007 is designed for sharpening woodturning gouges at consistent and repeatable angles with your bench grinder and the PRO Sharpening System.
It adjusts to a 40° angle, making it easy to set the bevels for grinding your tools. The jig’s clamp securely holds tool shafts that are 3/16" to 1-3/8" thick and up to 1-9/16" wide.
It is ideal for sharpening spindle and bowl gouges, roughing gouges, and for maintaining their cutting edges, ranging from simple bevels to side-ground variations and the traditional fingernail shape. Additionally, it works well for sharpening carving tools!
