Description
Narex Holdfast 3/4"
Narex hot-forged holdfasts blend traditional craftsmanship with modern efficiency, providing exceptional value and consistent quality. Inspired by the hand-forged holdfasts made by blacksmiths, these products are manufactured at the Narex factory using advanced equipment. They are ideal for securing boards to workbenches, making them perfect for planing, carving, drilling, and shaping. These holdfasts offer a hands-free solution for your woodworking projects.
- How to Use: Drill 3/4" (19mm) holes in your workbench, insert the holdfast, and strike the center of the head with a mallet. The untapered shaft will wedge tightly against the sides of the hole, securely holding your work. To release the holdfast, tap the backside of the clamp. These holdfasts are designed for quick, easy adjustments, featuring just the right amount of spring to clamp securely while releasing effortlessly.
- Traditional Design: Inspired by centuries-old hand-forged holdfasts, but produced using modern equipment for consistent quality.
- Efficient Operation: Easily secure, reposition, and release workpieces with just a few taps of a mallet.
- Rough-Finished Shafts: Sandblasted and left slightly rough to enhance grip; the natural aging of the shafts further improves grip. No rust protection is recommended.
- Optimal Use: Designed for workbenches 2” to 4” thick and capable of securely gripping boards up to 6” thick. It is best to use them in pairs.
- Protective Pads: For optimal performance and to prevent denting, apply leather or cork rubber to the pads.
