new Stanley flat base Spokeshave
Purchased this Stanley item resembling a tool from Klingspor's woodworking shop. The first "tool" they sent the threaded adjustment posts were drilled and tapped at skewed angles, one at about 8 degrees from perpendicular and the other off about 10-12 degrees. Returned it and requested another. Posts are still not parallel or perpendicular to the body. Castings have voids. Pressure cap is undersized to fit. Fit and finish is very poor. This "tool" is a waste of money. This is in no way a reflection on Klingspor. They processed the return and sent another. The product is not worth the postage.
