TotalBoat Legacy Gel Wood Finish is a wipe-on, oil-based topcoat that delivers a hand-rubbed satin finish and is easy to apply. Its thick, no-drip formula provides controlled, streak-free results on vertical, detailed, and flat surfaces. Designed to enhance wood’s natural beauty, Legacy features a soft satin glow and builds durable protection in 2–3 coats. For small scratches and dings, sand the damaged area and reapply without redoing the entire surface. Safe to use on bare or stained wood.

APPLICATION DATA

• Application Method: Hand rubbed with lint-free rag
• Application Temperature/RH: 60-85°F; relative humidity 0-70%
• Number of Coats: 2 or more
• Coverage: 100-150 sq. ft./pint
• Tack-Free Time: 5 hours at 70°F, 50% RH
• Minimum Overcoat Time: 6 hours at 70°F, 50% RH
• Maximum Overcoat Time Without Sanding Needed: Up to 12 hours

• Finish: Satin/Semi-Gloss - more coats create a slightly glossier, richer finish.

THINNER, PREP & CLEANUP

• Acceptable Substrates: Bare wood, previously coated wood in good condition, properly prepared epoxy
• Surface Prep Solvent: Denatured alcohol, Acetone (in contact with bare wood substrates only, specifically recommended for use on oily hardwoods or bare white oak substrates), and Clean water (for cleaning sanding residue between coats only, not on bare substrates)
• Primer: None are required—TotalBoat Signature Wood Stain can be applied before Legacy if desired
• Cleanup Solvents: TotalBoat Brushing Thinner 100, TotalBoat Spray Thinner 101, TotalBoat Dewaxer & Surface Prep, Mineral Spirits.
