Description

Klingspor Abrasives' new GreenTec sanding discs are a revolution in abrasives. Development focused on industry needs, especially in high loading situations. The new T-ACT coating gives you more grain exposure, reduced heat build-up and substantially less loading than traditional Stearated abrasives. This means longer life, cooler operating temperatures for sensitive coatings like epoxies and eliminates issues for between coats of finish. Applications where GreenTec will standout are Marine, Automotive, Bare Wood, Solid Surface, Aircraft and Specialty Coatings industries. Try the new GreenTec today!

    The best!

I’ve been using Klingspor abrasives for years. Recently I’ve been seduced by the social media ads for other abrasive brands and even tried the red ones from the big box stores. None of them came close to Klingspor quality. The most common problems with the other brands were the edges of the discs broke down rapidly and the life of the discs was equally brief. I make a living as a sculptor and the shapes I sculpt out of hardwoods are curvy and bulbous. There is a great deal of sanding to fair out the curves. I do not “push” sanding discs to get the maximum life out of them. As soon as they lose their bite I put on a new disc and save the used ones for hand sanding. The GreenTec “tooth” lasts longer than anything I’ve used, and the scratch pattern is consistent leaving fewer swirl marks. I’ve used Zirconia, but the Zirconia surface does not seem as even and there are more apparent swirl marks. I am now replacing all those other brand abrasives with GreenTec as I run through them. Yes, the GreenTec are more expensive, but they last longer and leave a cleaner footprint. As a professional sculptor and woodworker, GreenTec discs cost less in the long run.
