Unlike most single-handled burnishers, this tool lets you use both hands for a better grip. This extra control helps you roll exactly the hook you want on your scraper. It feels as comfortable as holding a spokeshave, with your thumbs and forefingers close to the carbide rod. This design gives you better tactile feedback, so you can control both the force and angle as you run it along the edge of a scraper, which is usually clamped in a vise.

The small size of this burnisher helps keep you from pressing too hard, so you are less likely to overwork the edge. While it is made for two-handed use, you can also use it with one hand. The 3/16" diameter, 1" wide rod is injection-molded into a plastic body, and the tool is compact enough to fit in an apron pocket. Made in Canada.
