If you need precise board thickness, the New JET 15” Straight Knife planer makes the job easy. It has a powerful 3-horsepower motor and a two-speed gearbox, so you can adjust the feed rate for a smoother finish. The Precision Air Strut System (PASS™) keeps steady upward pressure on the cutterhead, which helps prevent board snipe. The sturdy table is made from precision-ground cast iron, and the steel infeed and outfeed table extensions support larger workpieces and fold away when not needed. Since planers can be messy, JET’s angled 4-inch dust port keeps your dust hose clear and makes it easy to connect to your shop’s dust collection system.

You can choose between two infeed speeds, 16 or 20 feet per minute, to get the most efficient cut.

The dust port connects to your dust management system to help keep your shop clean.

A large hand wheel with a positive gear drive lets you easily set the head to your desired board thickness.
