The new JET 15-inch helical head planer quickly turns rough lumber into smooth boards with less noise. It features a strong 3 HP motor with V-belt transmission and a Helical Cutterhead that holds 48 staggered carbide quick-change knives. The Precision Air Strut System (PASS™) keeps steady upward pressure on the cutterhead, which helps prevent board snipe. The two-speed gearbox is easy to reach and lets you adjust the feed rate quickly, removing up to 1/8 inch of material per pass for a smooth finish. The heavy-duty, precision-ground cast-iron table and infeed/outfeed tables support larger workpieces, making this planer a great addition to any shop.
