With the new designs featuring a built-in gasket, you no longer need to clean and seal your form between each pour. Remove one of the short sides, take the blank out of the form, replace the side, and you’re ready to pour again! There’s no sticky mess, no waiting for caulking to set, and no more running out of sealant!

You’ll never need to reach for silicone and a caulk gun during an epoxy pour. There’s no need to seal or prepare your molds before each pour!

About This Product:

This is the last resin form style you'll ever need. It is made from 3/4-inch-thick High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), a durable plastic that, when properly maintained—such as by using a high-quality releasing agent like Honeywax or Stoner—will provide many enjoyable and productive hours of pouring in your shop!

The form comes fully assembled out of the box, except for the hold-down bars. Before using it, apply a coat of mold release to ensure a long, healthy lifespan for your form. For future uses, follow the manufacturer's recommendations for your chosen releasing agent.

The two long sides of the form are permanently secured and sealed with RTV silicone gasket maker, using bolts and threaded inserts. While these sides can be removed if necessary, it is not required for normal operation.

Integrated T-track System:

The form features integrated T-slots on the side walls for attaching your clamp hardware. This feature allows you to use the three included HDPE clamps and the 12 HDPE clamp blocks to securely hold your wood in place before pouring, ensuring stability throughout the process. They don’t move or float during the curing process. The blocks made from HDPE ensure that your resin does not stick to them in case of overpouring.

Integrated Leveling System:

The leveling system consists of 4 integrated leveling feet and 2 bubble levels. The integrated leveling feet allow you to level your form from the top using a standard, flat-head screwdriver (or the included Ahonui Artisans screwdriver). The bubble levels help you visually adjust your form to be level, regardless of your workspace.

Instructions for Use:

Removing the Blank from the Form: 

With this design, it is only necessary to remove one of the two short sides of the form. Both short sides are removable if your blank gives you any trouble.

To remove your blank, remove the end cap(s) by removing the 3 bolts on the side you have chosen to remove. These bolts are paired with galvanized steel threaded inserts to ensure the long life of your form. This means removing and reinserting the bolt will not wear out the plastic from repeated use, as regular screws would.

Use a wide chisel or putty knife, place the chisel blade, flat side down, against the HDPE at the point where the blank meets the form's bottom piece, then lightly tap the chisel with a hammer. The blank will pop loose from the form, and you will be able to pull it out very easily. If your thicker blank is giving you a bit of trouble and needs a little added encouragement, you can remove the other end cap the same way.

Resetting the Form for the Next Pour:

Take the end cap(s) that you removed and ensure the gasket is fully seated and free of any debris. Reattach the end cap, apply the chosen releasing agent per the manufacturer's recommendations, and you are ready for another pour. It is THAT easy!

Due to the slick nature of HDPE, there will be minor manufacturing “scuff” marks on the form's surface. These marks will transfer to your resin but will be planed and/or sanded away very easily when working the blank to the final thickness. These scuffs will in NO way affect your final piece.
