Description
Epoxy Form Co. Universal Arms
Your projects can vary in size depending on the type of wood or design you choose; so why shouldn't your form be able to change size, too? The Universal Form Kit is an extension of our popular reusable HDPE epoxy resin forms, but this version can change shape! This new design features simplified operation and fully adjustable size configurations, all created with the Maker community in mind.
We offer two purchasing options: the complete kit or just the side walls, which can be siliconed down to a taped board or plastic sheeting.
This Universal Form Kit includes:
- (4) 23.5" Form side walls 2.5" tall - HDPE
- (1) 23.5" x 23.5" x 1/2" Base - HDPE
The Universal Arms include:
- (4) 23.5" Form side walls 2.5" tall - HDPE
This will create a sturdy form structure that can be adjusted to accommodate interior dimensions from 3" square up to ~21" square, and the side walls are 2.5" tall. All measurements are INTERIOR dimensions.
This kit can be adjusted to accommodate workpieces within the specified range. To prepare it for use, ensure the kit is set to the correct dimensions on a flat, suitable sub-base for epoxy. Additionally, seal the gaps in the side walls and base to create a leak-proof containment. This can be done by applying 100% silicone RTV caulking along the inside corners and smoothing it with a press tool or your finger.
The Universal Form Kit will be shipped unassembled but can be easily assembled by connecting the ends into the corresponding slots to create a form shape that suits your needs.
Please note that this form does not include a leveling kit. It is recommended to place the form on a large, level work surface that can fully support its size and weight, including the contents. Additionally, ensure a proper seal between all base and side points to ensure even distribution and prevent leaks during pours.
Recommended Items Not Included:
- RTV 100% Silicon tube caulking
- RTV Squeeze Out Tool
- Reusable Resin Mixer
- HDPE Clamping Blocks
Disclaimer:
Because HDPE has a smooth surface, you may notice some minor "scuff" marks on the form during manufacturing. These marks can transfer to your resin but can be easily planed or sanded away while you work the blank to achieve the desired thickness. Rest assured, these scuffs will not affect the quality of your final piece in any way.
